dock’d is a Business Management System developed by Lasso Solutions Pty Ltd and designed for the NDIS and Service Industries. The System is designed around a Hybrid concept, with it’s key goal to offer our Clients with either a cloud enhanced On-Premises Solution or a 100% Cloud Solution. The software is licensed under the Software as a Service (SaaS) model and requires a current subscription to remain active. Field workers and Office Staff can access the System remotely via the iOS or Android app. The dock’d administration Software can be accessed from any device using the RDP Protocol with an RDP Client that supports your device.
This policy outlines how Lasso Solutions Pty Ltd deals with personal information. It explains how information is collected, used and disclosed. It also informs you about the rights and responsibilities you have regarding your personal information, in association with your use of our services. By hosting, downloading or installing our Software, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy as well as our End-User License Agreement (EULA) which is located within the Software.
Defined terms
“You” & “Your”: “You” may be a visitor to one of our websites, or a new or existing user of our Service.
“Staff”, “Worker” & “Sub-Contractor”: Someone who works for Lasso Solutions Pty Ltd or one of our Clients
“Client”, “Licensee” & “Business”: A Client of Lasso Solutions Pty Ltd that has an active subscription
“dock’d”, “Lasso”, “LassoBMS”, “we”, “us”, “our”: Lasso Solutions Pty Ltd & its affiliates.
“Service”: our Software.
This policy does not apply to third-party websites, products, or services. We do not allow any third-party provider to link directly to our System, however, we do integrate with a small number of third-party providers, and You should consider the privacy practices and policies of those third parties carefully.
If You disagree with anything within this policy, You should not continue with our Service and remove all Software, Programs and Material related to our Service.
Information We Collect
Business Information
In order to issue a Software License, Lasso Solutions Pty Ltd collects the following information about your business:
- Business Name
- Postal Address
- Shipping Address
- Business Type
- Email Address
- Phone/Contact Numbers
- ABN (if applicable)
- ACN (if applicable)
- Software Modules Licensed
Business information is information that can be used to identify your business and create/issue a software license.
Personal information
Personal information maybe collected under the following scenarios:
- Register to use the Service
- Demo or trial the Service
- Use the Service, on any device
- Communicate with us
- Visit our website
- Post to our blog
- Like or interact with us on social media
Basic details about your Staff are kept on our Authentication Server when a Client creates a Device Code for that Staff Member/Worker. The Device Code is a 6 digit code used by the Staff Member/Worker to automatically create an account on the Mobile Device and link it to the Client’s Service.
End-customer personal information
If you’re a customer of one of our Clients, please be informed that we have access to our Client’s data but we don’t access their database (including your personal information) without permission of the Client (Your provider). Our Client may only grant us access to your personal information strictly for the purpose of support and issue resolution, on matters relating to our Software. On occasion we may download or store our Client’s data (which includes your personal information) on our internal servers to aid us in resolving an issue or for product development, however, your personal information will not leave our networks for any reason whatsoever. Note: This only applies if our Client is hosting with us, if our Client (your provider) is hosting with a 3rd party, this does not apply.
Our Client will need to hold your personal information within their database to serve you as our System requires this information for Client Management, Job Management and Billing. Depending on their configuration, our Client’s database may or may not be hosted with us, to determine where your data is being hosting and by whom, please contact your Provider directly, we will not provide you with this information.
If you believe the privacy of your personal information has been breached, you can contact us at privacy@dockd.com.au or contact our Client directly to discuss your concerns.
Client Information
In order to use our Software and track usage, dock’d automatically collects non-personal information about your computer or mobile device when you use our service, visit our website, communication with us or use our demo service. The type of information collected include:
- Type of computer or mobile device
- Device operating system
- Unique device identifier
- Browser type
- Browsing activity
- IP Address
- MAC address
- Worker/Staff Information
- GPS Location information (if you’ve enabled it)
If you work for one of our Clients and use the dock’d Software, the following information is automatically collected and stored in our Client’s Database when you interact with our Client’s System:
- Type of computer or mobile device
- Device operating system
- Unique device identifier
- UserID and account details
- Activity including WebFunction calls and Date/Timestamps
- IP Address
- MAC address
- GPS Location Information (if you’ve enabled it)
You can elect to turn some of this information off, such as location services, using your device settings, however be aware that by doing so, it may restrict your ability to do your work and/or have work assigned to you.
Lasso Solutions Pty Ltd stores the above information in the Database of the Client you’re interacting with, which maybe hosted by us, stored with a 3rd party or at our Client’s premises. This policy only applies to data being stored on our network, it does not apply to data being stored by the Client with a 3rd party or on their network. Special categories of data
Lasso Solutions Pty Ltd does not knowingly attempt to solicit or receive special categories of data, such as personal information relating to race, ethnic origin, political association, trade union membership, religious beliefs, criminal records or health information.
Our Clients may record details about your race, ethnic origins, languages, religious beliefs and health information in their database hosted by us. Under certain circumstances, and with the permission of our Client, we may gain access to this information from time-to-time for the purpose of support and system development.
How Information May Be Used
Lasso Solutions Pty Ltd collects business information so that we can provide the Software and any related services. In doing so, Lasso Solutions Pty Ltd may use the business information collected in the following ways:
- Provide the Software and Service
- Respond to enquiries and support requests
- Identify the Business
- Verify and update the Business license
- Change the status of the license (Active, Suspended or Deleted)
- Communicate with the Business Staff/Workers to provide technical support and any other issues related to the Software and Service
- Send information, training, marketing or promotional materials
- Send important information such as changes to our End-User License Agreement (EULA), terms, conditions and policies
- Seek feedback, request testimonial or surveys
- Aggregate personal and other information into non-identifiable, anonymous data to help improve our Software and Service
- Enforce our Terms of Service & Policies
- Facilitate our internal business operations, including the fulfilment of any legal requirements
- Prosecute or defend in a court, arbitration, or similar legal proceeding
Your use of our Software and Service implies consent to the collection, holding and usage of personal and other information for these purposes, and any other purpose for which you have provided express permission, on an ongoing basis until termination of the License, subject to the terms of this policy and our Terms of Service.
How We Disclose Data
Lasso Solutions Pty Ltd will only disclose personal, business and other information to a third party for the purpose of providing support.
Lasso Solutions Pty Ltd affiliates: we may disclose your information to entities that we control or sub-contract to, for their internal business purposes and as part of our provision of the Service.
Third party service providers: we may disclose Your information or account data to third party service providers for the purpose of providing You with the Service, improving our Service, and other aforementioned purposes for how we use Your information, including services such as website hosting, data analysis, payment processing services, information technology and related infrastructure provision, customer service, email delivery, SMS/text delivery, credit card processing, auditing and other similar services.
Authorised third-parties, such as when you connect your dock’d System to a third-party ‘Add-on’ such as accounting packages (Xero, QuickBooks Online, MYOB and Sage) or payment gateways such as e-way and Stripe. The use of Your personal data by an authorised third party is subject to the third party’s privacy policy.
Independent dock’d Partners which you have sought or requested contact with for the purpose of dock’d consultation, training and setup.
Law enforcement agencies, legal systems and regulatory authorities: we may be required to disclose your information, without your consent, in order to comply with any court orders, subpoenas, or other legal processes or investigations, if such disclosure is required by law. Where possible and appropriate, we will notify you if we are required by law to disclose your personal information.
Successors: we may disclose your information in the case of a sale, merger, consolidation, liquidation, reorganisation, or acquisition. In that event, any acquirer will be subject to the obligations of this privacy policy.
People browsing our message boards, chat, profile pages, blogs and other services to which you’re able to post information and materials, including “Testimonials, Ratings and Reviews” and “Public Forum.” The Personal Information you include will be displayed in the Service. Your contacts associated with your social media accounts, Lasso Solutions Pty Ltd’s social media contacts, and browsers of the applicable social media, in connection with any of Your social media activity related to Lasso Solutions Pty Ltd.
Any other entity for which You have provided express consent for disclosure of Your information.
Security
Lasso Solutions Pty Ltd takes reasonable physical, technical and administrative precautions to protect Your information from loss, theft, or unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure.
Lasso Solutions Pty Ltd ‘s does not store your business data on it’s company servers. all of your business data is either stored in a separate secure data centre or is stored and controlled by you and you should work with your IT Provider to take responsible steps to ensure it’s security. All communications between your network and Staff, via the dock’d app and software, is automatically encrypted. Encryption is unique to each business, user, device and session.
Lasso Solutions Pty Ltd is built from the ground up around a Hybrid Model that allows for On-Premises or Cloud Data Management (or combination).
Hosted by Lasso Solutions Pty Ltd
Backups are created automatically daily and kept in a secondary secure location. This forms part of your hosting service and no interaction is required by you.
Hosted by a 3rd party or by the Client
If the Client is hosting the database with a 3rd party of themselves, the system has a backup process that is stored on your local network. You’re notified automatically via email about the backup status and where the backup file can be located. Additional backup locations can be specified within the System Settings. We strongly recommend that you work with your IT Provider to secure the backup file.
Notification of breach
Should Lasso Solutions Pty Ltd become aware of any accidental, unauthorised or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, disclosure, or breach of personal or business information, if such a breach represents a risk to the business or person, Lasso Solutions Pty Ltd will notify you of the breach as soon as possible.
Username & password security
It is your responsibility to protect the security of your dock’d Accounts and database. It is up to you to follow best practice to secure your account details and ensure your password and PIN can’t be easily guessed. You should not share your account details with anyone and update your password and PIN on a regular basis.
Credit Card Processing
In order to process the monthly subscription fees, Lasso Solutions Pty Ltd uses the eWAY Payment Gateway for processing and storing credit card transactions. eWAY processes credit card transactions for thousands of Australian merchants, providing a safe and secure means of collecting payments. All credit card transactions performed using the eWAY gateway are secured payments.
- Payments are fully automated with an immediate response.
- Your complete credit card number cannot be viewed by Lasso Solutions Pty Ltd or any outside party.
- All transactions are performed under 128 Bit SSL Certificate.
- All transaction data is encrypted for storage within eWAY’s bank-grade data centre, further protecting your credit card data.
- eWAY is an authorised third party processor for all the major Australian banks.
- eWAY at no time touches your funds; all monies are directly transferred from your credit card to the merchant account held by Lasso Solutions Pty Ltd.

Advertising & Communications
Lasso Solutions Pty Ltd will not sell or otherwise disclose Your information to marketers or promotional third parties without your consent.
Lasso Solutions Pty Ltd may use your information for the purpose of sending you training, marketing or promotional communications. You may opt out of these communications via ‘unsubscribe’ mechanisms. However, note that we may still send you communications important to your use of our Software and Service.
Access to Your Information & Retention of Information
If you require a change to your Software license, such as a name or contact detail change, you may request this change by contacting our Support Number on 1300 237 260.
To request removal of any basic personal information you supplied when accessing our online material, such as forums, please request this in writing at privacy@dockd.com.au. We will process Your requests as soon as reasonably practicable. If it is not reasonable, practical, or appropriate for us to process your request in the manner you have requested, or we determine it to be frivolous or vexatious, we will advise you accordingly.
Access to your database and backups is available at any time. Please contact our Support Team or your IT Provider if you need help with this. You may close Your Lasso Solutions Pty Ltd account at any time if you’re not under contract. This will terminate your access to the Software immediately, however you may still access your database via third-party applications such as the Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio program or Microsoft Access or Microsoft Excel. If you hosted your system with us, we will create a backup of your database and provide you or your IT Provider with a link (valid for 14 days) so you can download your data.
Responsibilities for processing and controlling personal information
Through provision of the Service to you, Lasso Solutions Pty Ltd has an obligation to process your personal, business and other information, and account data, as directed by you as part of your use of the Service, and in accordance with this policy and our Terms of Service. Under this policy and as a data controller, Lasso Solutions Pty Ltd has certain obligations to ensure the privacy of your personal, business and other information.
In turn, your use of the Software involves you collecting, holding and using certain personal and other information about your customers, staff, workers, contractors, sub-contractors and suppliers and other personal data. You determine and control your network, the entry, use and retention of any personal information within your System. You should be aware of your responsibilities as a data controller when collecting, holding and using personal information about your customers, staff, workers, contractors, sub-contractors and suppliers, and the corresponding rights of your customers or data subjects.
If you collect, hold and use a third party’s personal information as part of your use of the Service then you warrant to us that you have the third party’s consent to do so.
Updates to this Privacy Policy and Notifications
Lasso Solutions Pty Ltd reserves the right to change this policy at any time, and any amended policy is effective upon the posting on this website. In the event of any significant update/s, Lasso Solutions Pty Ltd will communicate these changes to You via email, notification via the website, or notification through your Software. You agree that electronic disclosures and notices have the same meaning and effect as if we had provided you with hard copy disclosures. Disclosures and notices in relation to this policy or Your information shall be considered to be received by you within 24 hours of the time they are posted to our website or sent to you via email or notification through your Software.
This policy supersedes any previous policy and is in affect from the Last Update date located at the top of this document.
